Forest Management

Many of us forget that preserving land is only one part of the conservation equation.  Learning how to best manage these open spaces is becoming more important as invasive plants, deer and woodlands full of homogeneous tree species overwhelm the balance of nature.  As a land steward, Aspetuck Land Trust (ALT) is responsible for creating carefully designed management and conservation plans to maintain and protect healthy species and habitat diversity.  Please click on the below links to read these interesting plans that we are implementing.
