Spring Ephemerals Wildflower Walk with Anthony Zemba

Join Anthony Zemba of Fitzgerald and Halliday, Inc. for an afternoon wildflower walk at Trout Brook Valley Preserve.  Anthony, a Certified Ecologist, will be searching for “spring ephemerals” – a group of wildflowers that only bloom early in the growing season before the overhead canopy of trees and shrubs leaf out.  In addition to wildflower identification,
Anthony will talk about the ecological role that these curious plants play in forest ecology.

Dress for a moderate hike on forest trails (including sturdy shoes/hiking boots) and protect
yourself from deer ticks which are sure to be present at this time of year. Please RSVP so that we may contact you in the event of a reschedule due to weather conditions.

Location: Trout Brook Valley Preserve, Bradley Road Entrance (Map).
